The sheer beauty of the Seated Buddha in Teaching Pose speaks for itself.
The Buddha Sculpture has been created by Sculptor Phillipe, based near the Temples of Angkor, using a process of soaking and painting recycled paper strips.
All of Philippe's sculptures are entirely made by hand with recycled paper and vegetable fiber. They are then decorated with natural pigments and acrylic colors. Respecting the environment, the manufacturing process also makes it possible to recycle old newspapers. The result is impressive, the sculptures really appear as though they've been crafted in heavy stone, bronze, wood, terracotta ... Once you have the object d'art in your hand, you realize due to its lightness that it is only paper. The sculpture is both light and very solid. Remarkable.
Each Buddha Figure is a One Off Creation and should be treasured in its new home
Note: A product handcrafted from recycled materials may differ slightly in colour when compared to the image you see on the screen. Each piece is unique so the color of the sculpture may slightly vary
Some handmade products may have to be made to order. If this is the case and the product is out of stock we will notify you
