Friends ‘n’ Stuff is a social business run by  Friends-International which enables parents across Southeast Asia to generate an income. Friends 'n' Stuff creatively transforms everyday materials to help empower families

They are one of the most recognised social enterprises you'll see when you visit the region. The parents employed by Friends become part of the Friends 'N' Stuff home-based production team – they are equipped with the skills to create the products you see at our stores!  

Friend "N" Stuff set up shops, based on the Home Based Production and Training program, which was created in 2005 in order to find a sustainable way to provide economic support to marginalized families. The project provides market-linked skills training and subsequent employment opportunities to parents of vulnerable children as a means of reducing incidences of child labor and ensuring that children receive a formal education. 

If you've travelled to Siem Reap or Phnom Penh you are more than likely to have seen a Friend 'N' Stuff store. If you haven't been, but are planning a trip to Cambodia make sure you pay them a visit. When you're there, don't miss a meal at one of the restaurants that are also part of the Friends International organisation - http://tree-alliance.org/ Training Restaurants for Employment and Entrepreneurship. We've been lucky to have had repeat visits to Marum in Siem Reap and Romdeng in Phnom Penh. The food is sublime but more importantly, when you dine at a TREE restaurant you support students in their hospitality training so they can build a future for themselves. All profits are reinvested into students in training and partner NGO existing and future projects.
