Senhoa Foundation aims to rehabilitate and reintegrate women at risk of exploitation by empowering them to become financially independent through their work. Women from Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Singapore are at higher risk of being sold or taken for forced domestic work or sex work, but Senhoa is providing these women with dignified and safe employment – helping to protect them from being sold into labour and prostitution by family members.

Senhoa’s promise

Because Senhoa accepts charitable donations, all of their overhead costs are covered through generous corporate donations and private fundraising initiatives. This gives the women who are employed to create jewellery access to fair wages and gives Senhoa the opportunity to put funds into field programs serving those in need.

Senhoa Foundation is helping these women by teaching them how to craft beautiful pieces of jewellery with their hands, a skillset that none of these women had prior to their work with Senhoa and one that doesn’t require them to have any level of education prior to employment.

Some of the more intricate pieces created by the artisans at Senhoa can take up to seven weeks to make and are fashioned into luxury pieces of designer wares such as necklaces, earrings, bracelets and other beautiful accessories.
