Handpainted Round Brown Lacquer Vase

A beautiful statement piece for the home, this round painted lacquerware vase combines traditional Vietnamese craftsmanship with a striking contemporary design.

The warm bronze-brown surface is finished with an intricate black organic pattern that sweeps around the vase, reminiscent of branches, tree bark and natural forms. The fine crackled texture beneath the design adds depth and character, making every angle interesting.

With its generous rounded shape and wide opening, the vase looks beautiful displayed on its own as a sculptural ornament or styled with dried or decorative flowers. Its earthy tones work particularly well with timber, natural materials and modern interiors.

This is not the mass-produced lacquerware commonly found throughout Vietnam. It is crafted and hand painted in the Huong Nga Fine Arts workshop in Ho Chi Minh City using traditional lacquerware techniques.

Each Huong Nga Fine Arts lacquerware piece is created through a time-honoured process involving 13 coats of lacquer, producing a durable, beautifully finished decorative piece designed to last.

Lacquerware care:

• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight as colours may fade or change.
• Do not use chemicals or hot water.
• Do not soak.
• Wipe dust and moisture away with a soft dry or damp cloth.
• If required, hand wash gently using mild dish detergent.
• Do not place in the dishwasher.
• Rinse with warm water and dry immediately.
