The Luis Mai Chau Bag is named after the region of that name in North Western Vietnam; a mountainous town full of natural wonder and ethnic cultures. The Green and Black colour palette of this fabulous bag evokes those wondrous landscapes.
The large Bucket Shaped Shoulder bag showcases Hand-weaved Ethnic Fabric from the North of Vietnam, combined with black canvas and white, green and silver leather detailing.
Step out in style, the Luis Mai Chau will be your go-to everyday unique and gorgeous bag.
As with each one of Valerie Cordier's designs, the Luis Mai Chau Bucket Bag is full of surprises. The drawstring that closes the bag is a braided combination of Grey, Black, White and Green Leather that culminates with hanging tassel features.
Valerie Cordier has often visited ethnic tribes in the Vietnam mountains and finds their woven fabrics the most beautiful and delicate in the world. She loves to add her updated colours and style to some of the patterns traditionally used, as she has done in this the Luis Bag.
“This is a perfect way to create my own exclusive, exquisite fabric and a good way to support the community. I like their traditional skills.”
Every detail and material in this Leather and Canvas Shoulder Bag has been sourced personally by Valerie in Northern Vietnam. Each piece has been intricately brought together with an obvious love and passion.
The Bag's Interior features a multi coloured purple, blue and white patterned fabric. The Luis comes complete with a removable coin purse.
Valerie oversees every detail of her bag's design and insists that the inside should be as unique as the exterior.
