The Clyde Shoulder Bag by Valerie Cordier is as practical as it is gorgeous. With ample space inside and a plethora of compartments and pockets, the Clyde Saddle Bag will quickly become your treasured bag.
The Clyde Mai Chau Bag is named after the region of that name in North Western Vietnam; a mountainous town full of natural wonder and ethnic cultures. The stunning shoulder bag showcases hand-weaved ethnic fabric on the flap contrasting with canvas and silver leather detailing. The Black Canvas has a subtle flicker of sparkle throughout.
As with each one of Valerie Cordier's designs, the Clyde Mai Chau is full of surprises. Khaki Green Leather Trim brings a modernity to a classic shape, and the green and black monochromatic design on the flap gives a typical Cordier twist to the traditional ethnic fabrics of Norther Vietnam.
Valerie has often visited ethnic tribes in the Vietnam mountains and finds their woven fabrics the most beautiful and delicate in the world. She loves to add her updated colours and style to some of the patterns traditionally used, as she has with the Clyde.
“This is a perfect way to create my own exclusive, exquisite fabric and a good way to support the community. I like their traditional skills.”
Every detail and material in this Saddle Shoulder Bag has been sourced personally by Valerie in Northern Vietnam. A brass clasp securely closes the bag. Brass studs with black leather complete the design.
The Bag's Interior features an orange and brown fabric lining. Valerie oversees every detail of her bag's design and insists that the inside should be as unique as the exterior.
