Ta Prohm Temple at the Ancient City of Angkor is one of the most well known and visited temples, thanks to Angelina Jolie and the Tomb Raider movie. This Door to the temple is one of the most photographed sites, bound by massive roots of huge trees, giving the visitor some idea of how many centuries this incredible structure has stood for.
Phillipe has masterfully captured the way nature has taken it's toll on the Temples of Angkor over the centuries. Intricately crafted beauty, incredibly this has been done using recycled paper.
- Ta Prohm Temple is 32 x 28 cm and sits on it's own stand
- Terracotta Effect
All of Philippe's sculptures are entirely made by hand with recycled paper and vegetable fiber. They are then decorated with natural pigments and acrylic colors. Respecting the environment, the manufacturing process also makes it possible to recycle old newspapers. The result is impressive, the sculptures really appear as though they've been crafted in heavy stone, bronze, wood, terracotta ... Once you have the object d'art in your hand, you realize due to its lightness that it is only paper. The sculpture is both light and very solid. Remarkable.
Each Sculpture is a One Off Creation and should be treasured in its new home
Note: A product handcrafted from recycled materials may differ slightly in colour when compared to the image you see on the screen. Each piece is unique so the color of the sculpture may slightly vary
