In Hinduism, the goddess Durga, also known as Shakti or Devi, is the protective mother of the universe. She is one of the faith's most popular deities, believed to be a protector of all that is good and harmonious in the world.

Phillipe has masterfully captured sculptures of the ancient goddess that have been partially destroyed through the ages. Unbelievably Goddess Durga here has been sculpted using Papier Mache techniques.

For anybody with an interest in ancient Spiritual Gods and Goddesses from Asia this beauty will be a wonderful addition to your collection.

  • Durga measures 43x11cm
  • Stone Effect

All of Philippe's sculptures are entirely made by hand with recycled paper and vegetable fiber. They are then decorated with natural pigments and acrylic colors. Respecting the environment, the manufacturing process also makes it possible to recycle old newspapers. The result is impressive, the sculptures really appear as though they've been crafted in heavy stone, bronze, wood, terracotta ... Once you have the object d'art in your hand, you realize due to its lightness that it is only paper. The sculpture is both light and very solid. Remarkable.

Each Sculpture is a One Off Creation and should be treasured in its new home

Note: A product handcrafted from recycled materials may differ slightly in colour when compared to the image you see on the screen. Each piece is unique so the color of the sculpture may slightly vary

Some handmade products may have to be made to order. If this is the case and the product is out of stock we will notify you
