The Bayon Temple at the Ancient City of Angkor is best known for the mysterious faces on its many towers. Bring back the memories of a visit to this majestic site with this remarkable Bayon Face Sculpture.
The Bayon Face Sculpture has been crafted by Sculptor Phillipe, whose gallery is based near the Temples of Angkor, using a process of soaking and painting recycled paper strips. It comes with its own stand.
- Bayon Head is 18cm high and 14cm wide and sits on it's own detachable stand
- Terracotta effect
All of Philippe's sculptures are entirely made by hand with recycled paper and vegetable fiber. They are then decorated with natural pigments and acrylic colors. Respecting the environment, the manufacturing process also makes it possible to recycle old newspapers. The result is impressive, the sculptures really appear as though they've been crafted in heavy stone, bronze, wood, terracotta ... Once you have the object d'art in your hand, you realize due to its lightness that it is only paper. The sculpture is both light and very solid. Remarkable.
Each Sculpture is a One Off Creation and should be treasured in its new home
Note: A product handcrafted from recycled materials may differ slightly in colour when compared to the image you see on the screen. Each piece is unique so the color of the sculpture may slightly vary
