I bought an orange resin buddha for myself and a yellow one for my son. They are about 15 or 16 cm high which is perfect, because they're not miniature, and they're not so big that they are hard to fit in anywhere. They are very tactile...everyone picks them up as the resin has a lovely feel because it is smooth, and the headwear is a lovely contrast. I placed mine in a spot with light (as opposed to inside a bookshelf or similar) because they catch the light and sort of glow...just lovely. The quality is excellent, received mine very promptly in the mail, they are eyecatching and a great reminder for me to meditate (as I am a beginner and find prompts helpful). Having a lucky color based on your actual day of birth is a lovely individual touch. I will be giving more buddhas as presents, because even if my friends aren't into buddhism/mindfulness, they are just beautiful in their own right, and I know for me that having a buddha around, excites my curiosity to learn more about eastern practices. The owner of the store was really helpful answering my questions too.
