Beyond cool is probably the only way to describe Jiraporn, the talented designer and artisan behind B&P Leather. Her little shop of treasures in Bangkok's buzzing JJ Market exudes coolness, quality and style. In the heat of a Bangkok day when I meet her she is dressed in full Cowgirl gear - with hat, checked shirt, jeans and authentic boots and she looks incredible.

To top it off Jiraporn is incredibly talented and creative too although her story is simple. She and her husband loved the look of cowhide products and without any prior knowledge they took to learning how to make cowhide bags by hand. And 20 years later they have created quite a following and deservedly so. Jiraporn began by creating simple designs and has progressed to more complex styles and patterns now. She talks about the happiness she feels when a buyer admires her bags and it's this that motivates her to continue creating more beautiful pieces. 

Each cowhide bag and its parts are handcrafted down to the hand stitched zip. The detailing from the stitching to the suede interior is quite mind-blowing. Jiraporn's authentic quality leather is sourced from a Thai tanning factory. Her B&P Leather team is made up of herself, her husband and her 2 siblings - it's a small family business that Temples and Markets is so excited to be featuring here.
